The Regular Rhythm What Happens at a Stated Meeting
A stated meeting is the Lodge's regular business meeting. The Lodge is opened in due form, the minutes of the previous meeting are read and approved, bills are presented and paid, correspondence is read, petitions are received and balloted on, and any Lodge business is transacted. The meeting is then closed in due form.
Stated meetings are open to all Masons in good standing, unless announced otherwise. Degree work, the ceremonies by which candidates are initiated, passed, and raised, is called at other times and announced to the Brethren.
Before the Meeting The Fellowship Meal
On the first Monday of each month, the Brethren gather at 6:30 PM for a meal before the Lodge is opened. This is one of the better parts of the evening. Visiting Masons are welcome, and no reservation is needed, though a note to the Secretary is always appreciated if you're bringing several.
Visitors Attending as a Visiting Mason
Masons in good standing from any recognized jurisdiction are welcome. Please bring:
- A current dues card from your home Lodge.
- Photo identification.
If you are not personally known to a member of this Lodge, expect to be examined before entering. This is standard practice everywhere and no reflection on you. Arriving fifteen minutes early makes it easier on everyone.
Annually Recurring Dates

Installation of Officers
